Aims

Drama at Moulsford aims to provide free and supported dramatic play opportunities, where boys are able to create, perform and respond to their own and each other’s performances. It gives the boys a classroom opportunity to explore issues and ideas together, as well as being able to understand basic stagecraft.

Specific Objectives

Drama develops thinking, speaking, listening, reading, writing and critical analysis through emotional, physical and imaginative engagement. Through the lessons, we hope to promote

• Imagination
• Empathy
• Concentration

Performance Opportunities

There is naturally a large element of performance within the context of Drama but the performance doesn’t necessarily mean public performance.

Boys share their work with each other in all lessons, at various stages of development.
