Boys may opt to pursue a variety of activities and hobbies. These take place on a Thursday afternoon from 4.30 – 5.30pm.
Children of preparatory school age need little encouragement to perform. Working in front of an audience helps to develop confidence. The junior boys, as part of their curriculum, have a drama lesson each week and there are major school plays which involve many of the boys either on the stage, or behind the scenes.

Music forms a very important part of school life. All boys learn the recorder and more than three quarters learn another instrument. There is a thriving Orchestra and Choir. Regular informal concerts take place and the Choir lead the singing at our service on Fridays. The more senior members of the Choir annually take over the services at some of the country's most prestigious cathedrals. Recently, these have included Ripon, Peterborough, Wells and St George's Chapel, Windsor.
