Recyclobin is back! His first job was to elect new “Eco Prefects”. Recyclobin also understands that this position of responsibility in the school is very important and the boys deserve a special type of badge. He has got some samples on order and they should be coming after Easter. Recyclobin is also very proud of how environmentally friendly we are and wants to tell people about it, so as of now we are part of “Generation Green”.
Generation Green is a schools programme from British Gas. The programme supports schools, pupils, their parents and the wider community in becoming more environmentally aware.
Supported by British Gas’s Energy Experts our school will be earning “Green leaves”. These will be exchanged for a variety of energy efficient rewards during the course of the year.

Thursday 12th March – School Council / Generation Green Assembly
After half term Recyclobin and some of the Eco Prefects will be giving a short assembly on Generation Green.
This term the boys have been asked to produce a cartoon adventure starring ‘The Recyclobin’ our Moulsford Eco Superhero. The finalists can be seen in the school porch with entries coming from different year groups throughout the school. The winner of the competition was Henry Averill in Year 4 who was presented with an Eco Prefect badge. He will also have his cartoon animated during the summer term. Congratulations to Henry and all of the finalists.

The boys have been involved in designing an Eco poster to be shown around the school. They were asked to create a super hero who would remind boys to ‘Reduce, Re-use and Recycle’. There were nearly 100 entries, all of which were very creative but the final 13 were selected by the Eco Prefects during assembly yesterday. The final decision will be made by a select committee of experienced art critics and eco warriors.
The winner of the Eco Poster competition was Henrik Cox’s Recyclobin. Congratulations to Henrik who becomes a permanant Eco Prefect. His character will be used in all of the school’s environmental campaigns. Not only that but he has been brought to life and will reappear throughout the school year. Watch this space for more info…
