Moulsford Preparatory School

The Golden House Point was created to recognise those boys who consistently show ‘Outstanding Citizenship’. Once awarded with this Golden HP they take it to the Headmaster who then presents the individual with a certificate in a whole school assembly. At the end of the Summer Term, all of those boys who have been awarded a GHP will be taken out for a special treat.

Winners 2009-10

Elliot Houseman (7J) and Toby McGill (5S) were awarded GHPs by Mrs Regan for their help with the registers throughout the year.

Harry Alderson (Cubs), Freddy Loveland (Lions), Finlay Hepplethwaite (Cubs) and Rory King (Cubs) were all awarded GHPs for gaining 100 Smiley Faces.

Tom Castle (7W) was awarded a GHP for his kindness towards others.

George Kent (Reception) was awarded a GHP for his excellent beahviour.

James Porter (8K) and Sam Page (8K) were awarded GHPs for their outstanding behaviour on the Year 8 French Trip

Alex McGee (7W) and Xander Butler (6F) were awarded GHPs from the Headmaster for their outstanding contribution to Open Day. Both boys acted as guides and received letters of thanks from visiting parents.

Winners 2008-09

Ed Howlett (8K) was awarded a GHP for his outstanding contribution to the French trip. Ed was a great ambassador for the school but also showed a responsible and considerate approach towards his peers and the staff.

Max Finch (7E) was awarded his for his Eco Motto “Green means go and its time for us to go Eco green!”

Oliver Sale (Lions) was awarded his for his eco friendliness. At home he takes bottle to the bottle bank, uses candles instead of lights, switches off the lights when no one is in the room and puts organic waste in the compost bin.

Jack Redley – For showing consistent and outstanding consideration of others. Jack’s thoughtfulness towards the other boys at Moulsford is an example for others to follow.

Jake Leach – For outstanding work and going above and beyond the call of duty.

Max Hearnden – For his outstanding contribution to the 1st XV pre-season tour to Dorset. Despite having a broken collar bone, Max came on the trip and was always willing to help in any way that he could. A superb example to all Moulsford boys.

George Burton, Archie Friend, Hamish McNaught and Freddie Hanbury were awarded GHPs for their outstanding efforts throughout the school year.

Winners 2007-08

Henrik Cox is awarded 2 Golden House Points

Henrik Cox in 7M has been awarded 2 Golden House Points. The first was for showing remarkable thoughtfulness towards other boys in the school. The second GHP was awarded just two days later and was for his outstanding efforts in creating an animation promoting environmental awareness. As the recipient of two GHP’s, Henrik has the opportunity to use the sports hall for a party, as decided by the School Council this year. Congratulations Henrik!

This year’s trip included a game of bowling followed by a meal at Frankie and Bennie’s near Oxford. The boys even stopped for ice-cream on the way home. Congratulations to all 12 of the Golden House Point winners.

Oliver Simpson – For his dedication in helping the children of the Afghan Connection. Oliver spent many hours during his Easter holiday creating a beautiful picture for the children.

Callum Chamberlain – For his outstanding charitable work. Callum organised a sponsored walk in order to raise money for the children of Afghanistan through the school’s link with the Afghan Connection.

Louis Allen – For setting an outstanding example whilst on the French Trip.

Charlie Mansfield – For being a consistently outstanding example to the boys at Moulsford.

Freddie Carr – For going out of his way to help a boy who was visiting the school for the day and for showing great initiative.

Jack Maple – For an outstanding contribution to Music and for showing initiative.

Ollie Potter – For setting an example to all boys with his impecable manners and courtesy to staff and fellow pupils.

Oscar Newman – For his outstanding contribution to the Edinburgh Tour.

Edward Howlett – For his kindness towards others and for setting an example for others to follow.

Thomas Lester John – For service above self.

Henrik Cox – For showing remarkable thoughtfulness towards other boys.

Carl Cox – For showing remarkable thoughtfulness towards other boys.
