Friday 24th October 6:45 pm

Arrived on the island on time and transfered to the The Merton Hotel. Had lunch and set off for the game against Victoria College. We kicked off at 3:30 played well in spells against a very good team. No score at half time, worked even harder in the second half, but the class of the opposition showed and they eventually ran out 4-2 winners. (Goal scorers: Max Davis Rupert Maher). Mr Campbell reckoned they were the best side he had faced all season.

Came back and had a swim in the Aquadome and are now getting ready for dinner in the Hotel. Probably followed by a few quick games of pool and an early bed.

Saturday 25th October 6:45pm

Had a leisurely breakfast and then went down to the beach at St Helier and walked out along the causeway to Elizabeth Castle. Arrived at the fixture against First Tower in good time and had a focused warm up. The opposition were of a high standard but in the first half we played some outstanding football, (some of the best I have seen on tour over the years) and we took all our chances and went in at half time 6-0 up (Max. Dylan, Chris, Al Squires, Rupert x2) The second half we sat back a bit and First Tower score two early goals. However, we kept our composure and conceded no more. Back for lunch and a swim and in the afternoon went to play crazy golf. Dinner time approaches and then into the first round proper of the pool competition.

Sunday 26th October 5:45

We had Breakfast at 9:00 followed by a visit to Corbiere Lighthouse. Mid-morning we went back to the Living Legend for a multimedia interactive trip through the history of Jersey before returning to the Hotel for a quick lunch before our fixture against Grouville. We played their Year 6 side who play a division above First Tower. They were a very talented group of players and unfortunately we were unable to match our performance from yesterday. We competed well for the first 20 minutes of the first half and could have taken the lead, but they scored a minute from half time and added two more late goals in the second half. There is no disgrace in losing to a better side but disappointing that in our final game we could not have played to our full potential. The constant rain certainly didn't help either. After a long shower and a warm up we went for a swim in the Aquadome and we are now getting ready for the pool semi-finals (Chris v Rupert, CJ v JJ), followed by dinner, bowling, packing and bed.
