Sporting Success Outside of School
Cholsey Bluebirds
Four Year 4 boys have all recently won medals with their local football clubs. Harry C, Billy V and Digby B are part of the Cholsey Bluebirds Under 9s who won their league and Hamish I plays for Harwell and Hendred who also won their league. Congratulations to all of these boys.
International Swimming Success
Alexander MK in Year 8 attended a swimming competition in Germany over the weekend as part of a team from Henley Swimming Club. The annual Schwimmvergleich competition takes place alternately between Henley and its twinned town Leichlingen. The team won the Cup last year so expectations were high.
Alex M-K had a great weekend and achieved a Gold in 50m Backstroke (50m Rücken), Bronze in 50m Fly (50m Schmetterling) and a Bronze in 200m Individual Medley (200m Lagen). The Henley Swimming Club also won the Cup against Leichlingen, the first time they have retained the title.
