Opera and Rugby for Year 6

Year 6 have been to sample the delights of the City of Cardiff. The first port of call was the Millennium Stadium where they were taken into the players’ changing rooms, the Press Conference room and they even got to sit in the seat reserved for the Queen.

In the afternoon, they set off for the Millennium Centre where they were lucky enough to be invited to a dress rehearsal performance of The Barber of Seville by Rossini which forms part of this season’s Welsh National Opera Programme.  They were thrilled to hear Claire Booth, mother to one of our Year 3 boys, singing the lead role of Rosina.  Exhausted but happy the boys enjoyed a DVD of Paddington on our way home.
