Fundraising for Brains Trust

Moulsford parent Sarah Hollins, mother of George in Year 3, walked a double marathon last weekend to raise money for Brains Trust after undergoing 2 craniotomies 6 months ago for a brain tumour. Sarah, who was joined by two friends, walked 50 miles in 2 days, which equated to over 100,000 steps and was the equivalent of climbing Ben Nevis twice! The 50-mile route started in Dartmouth in South Devon and took them along one of the most spectacular coastlines in England following the South-West Coastal Path.

Sarah said it was a tough challenge (and she cried when they crossed the finish line!) but it was an amazing experience. The group have raised approximately £5.5k so far plus gift aid and the charity is absolutely thrilled after a challenging couple of years for fundraising efforts.

Brains Trust supports and provides resources so that people with a brain tumour and their loved ones can live the life they want after diagnosis. The charity works with hospitals to secure the best care possible for people and campaigns for the brain tumour community to help solve the real issues they face.
