A sunny day of activities
Year 5 had a fantastic day out in the sunshine last Monday at Oakwood Climbing and Activity Centre.
This annual trip is designed to help the boys develop their teamwork, problem-solving skills and overcome new challenges in preparation for the rest of the year. The theme of the day was ‘one more step’ and the boys quite literally threw themselves into their activity pushing themselves out of their comfort zones at every turn.
From team low-ropes to crate stacking and the dreaded leap of faith, it was a delight to see the boys encourage and congratulate each other’s personal achievements. The mountain boarding was particularly popular with the boys looking very cool skating down the hills! Hopefully the group have learnt some valuable lessons which they can apply throughout the course of this year, and maybe even beyond!
