A big welcome back to the live event
After two years of virtual shows, we were delighted that Moulsford’s Got Talent 2022 could take place in person and it was a truly spectacular show. We were all entertained by some very talented boys from Years 5 to 8 who between them showed off their musical talents, impressions, hoverboard skills and expertise with Rubik’s cubes.
We are very grateful to all of the finalists for their efforts in preparing their acts so well and clearly putting a lot of thought into them, you had the audience eating out of the palm of your hand! The winners in each year group were as follows:
Year 5 – Sam A
Year 6 – Will G
Year 7 – Billy, Zeb, Sam and George
Year 8 – Bertie W
Our overall winners this year were the Year 7 band, who performed Coldplay classic Sky Full of Stars.
Once again the Showstopper Round of the Moulsford Boys’ Cake Off formed part of MGT with nine incredible looking cakes. The winners of each year group were:
Year 4 - Freddie R-C
Year 5 - Jude H
Year 6 - William H
William H was crowned the overall winner and his cake was then auctioned off and raised a fantastic £130.
The whole event was raising money for our school charities Mary’s Meal and Soundabout, who both had representatives there on the night.
Our fantastic Head of DT, Jess Roberts, put together a very special staff dance for ‘Monstrosity’ this year (in honour of Mr Bissell) with a medley of Disney classics including Under the Sea, Prince Ali, Hakuna Matata and I Wanna Be Like You.
Special thanks go to the hosts of the evening Tim Vallings and first-time host Aiden Meynell for their commentary. The evening ran very smoothly and we appreciate them both giving up their time.
Thank you, as ever, to everyone, without whose support, events like this simply wouldn’t happen. From boys to staff and parents, both past and present, it really was a joint effort and another huge success.
