A disrupted season, with some promising rugby

The U13s

The U13 As have had a disrupted Sevens Season, losing 3 tournaments to the weather conditions and therefore only competing in two tournaments prior to Rosslyn Park. The team have played some lovely rugby, but have produced some mixed performances. They had some great games at Caldicott, with some varying results which included a win against Millfield.  We then played at St Johns Northwood, where we won our group and then lost to St Pauls in the final.

The boys played five matches in their pool at Rosslyn Park.  They managed to win two, draw two and lose one to an exceptional St Olave’s side.  It was a great pleasure to watch the boys play with such commitment and determination.  Thank you to the parents for all their support and well done to the boys for some really promising performances.

The U11As

The U11As had a fantastic afternoon at the Rosslyn Park Sevens Festival last Thursday. Owing to the weather, the boys hadn’t played a competitive game of 7s for over 3 weeks but you wouldn’t have known it as they played some expansive and innovative rugby that drew admiring glances from the watching crowds. It is to the boys’ credit that they were branded as the team to watch throughout the day. Over the course of the season, the boys have grown in rugby confidence as well as self- confidence which has taken them from being a bunch of individuals to a team that supports and listens to each other. Well done!
