Selling food and drink for charity

Last weekend Tom and James R in Year 5 set up a stall outside their house to sell drinks and food to raise money for charity. They spent Friday night cooking lots of biscuits and cupcakes and prepared coffees and hot chocolate (complete with marshmallows and squirty cream!) ready to sell to the residents of their road and beyond.

Their generous neighbours came out in their numbers and the boys hijacked any cyclists, walkers and delivery vans who came up the road! They dealt with all the cash and showed passers-by how to use the QR code to the Just Giving page. A few quotes below from these people:

"Thank you for supporting such a great cause, and for providing a hot drink and sweet treat at the end of my dog walk! Keep up the good work."

"Perfect sustenance for my MTB ride - thanks!"

"Yummy cookies boys. Well done!"

The boys managed to sell all cookies and cupcakes and raised a little over £250 for Comic Relief. A great effort.
