Raising money for Sport in Mind

Inspired by the Boy in the Tent, Max Woosey, George H in Year 4 has decided that he wants to do something big for charity this year. George’s 9th birthday was last Friday and he has set himself the target of walking 10 MILLION steps by his 10th birthday in 2024. That equates to 27,397 steps a day! George is aiming to raise funds for UK Mental Health Sports Charity, Sport in Mind. Through their work and innovative programmes delivered in partnership with the NHS, Sport in Mind helps transform the lives and mental health of children and adults through sport and physical activity. It is also one of Moulsford’s House charities for this year.

With the help of a Garmin, George’s family will be tracking his every move and we are delighted to report that after just one week, George is already on target at well over 150,000 steps!

Everyone at Moulsford is super impressed with the challenge that George has set himself. It is an incredible goal to achieve at such a young age and to be doing it for such a worthy cause is terrific. Sport in Mind is clearly close to his heart and he is showing great maturity by supporting them in this way. We wish George the very best of luck and will be updating everyone on his progress regularly.
