Spot the sloth

The Reception classes loved their trip to the rainforest on Tuesday.  They learned about a range of animals that can be found in the Rainforest including how and why they have certain unique adaptations. Amongst many other interesting learning opportunities, the children compared a snake jaw with their own and found out how snakes can open their mouths so wide. Some of the children were lucky enough to spot Cinnamon the sloth; she was very good at hiding! After this, we all enjoyed a picnic lunch and a play on the outdoor playground before hopping on the minibus back to school.
