Year 8 travel to Australia and Japan
The Year 8s took part in an ‘Ultimate School Trip’ on Friday organised by Millfield School. The boys had the choice of going to either Australia or Japan with each tour lasting two hours. The boys received a brochure in advance which included a play list to get them in the mood, some books to try, a suggestion for a film they might like to watch afterwards, a short history of the country and some useful phrases. The boys then joined the tour via YouTube and headed off to faraway lands – lucky them!
Millfield wanted to create an experience to enable the boys to see something new, meet new people, ask questions and enjoy some time away from home for a while. In the afternoon the boys then took part in Art activities which linked to their trips.
It was a brilliant way to round off their time of remote learning and the boys enjoyed the experience immensely.
