Learning something new

Back in January Mrs Squire set the boys an optional 30 Day Challenge to do or learn something new during lockdown. Some of the boys are mid-way through the challenge and have been doing some brilliant things.

The boys in Year 4 have been particularly busy with Jacob A picking up litter in the surrounding area for 30 days. He is picking up a minimum of 20 pieces a day (some small and some large) and as he lives in an area popular with walkers, he has been kept busy. At the weekend he and his family have been venturing further afield into the woods and collecting even more.

Charlie G has used the 30 days to get fitter by doing a series of squats each day as well as running, and George B has been FaceTiming friends, family and people he knows who either live on their own or are isolating because of Covid.

Oliver N in Year 7 has been challenging himself to listen to at least 5 minutes of an audio book each day. He has now almost finished listening to Goodnight Mr Tom and is really enjoying it.

Jamie B in Year 2 has been learning to draw something new each day and has made a fantastic video to showcase his artwork which includes crocodiles, penguins and even Sonic the Hedgehog!

Well done boys, we are very impressed! We would also love to hear about some of the other things that boys have done during lockdown.
