Year 5 Play - One Planet Future

Year 5 Go Wild!

For two nights the school theatre was transformed into a disused allotment in need of some care and attention to remove all of the rubbish that had been dumped, and rewild it as a wildflower meadow. With a script full of songs, jokes and a serious message, Year 5 had plenty to rehearse in the time since they returned in September. Each form was given responsibility for one act of the play, performing variously as foxes, minibeasts, intrepid schoolchildren and G.R.O.T.s (also known as ‘Get Rid of That’s).

Their efforts in acting and singing were rewarded with two excellent evening performances to audiences who were fantastic in offering their support to the boys on stage.

A huge thank you to the boys for their hard work, the staff who gave up their time to create sets and costumes as well as assist on the nights, and finally to the parents who no doubt supported the boys with the learning of lines in preparation for the show as well as on the nights themselves.
