Sports People Overcoming Adversity
On Thursday 4SC presented their class assembly based around the theme of sports people overcoming challenges in the face of adversity. The boys gave a brief history of the Olympic Games and then shared stories of some famous athletes who had all faced setbacks whilst competing in Olympic events. These included Jesse Owens, Derek Redmond and the Brownlee Brothers.
The class very much enjoyed preparing the material for their assembly, choosing video clips and also including their own drama. The overall message the boys wanted to convey was the link to the Moulsford School values of Courage and Kindness, and how we all need these to approach any challenges that we all may face in our future.
