Trip to Science Oxford, Headington

On Monday the Year 8 boys spent the day at Science Oxford in Headington. The day consisted of four carousel activities. First up was the rocket launch session, followed by satellite imagery. After lunch the boys learnt about ocean acidification and carbonisation before finishing with the much-anticipated satellite re-entry session (aka the egg drop challenge!) The day concluded with a careers talk about how STEM fits into a whole host of jobs, even some that have not been invented yet. The boys thoroughly enjoyed the day out even though some rockets and satellite re-entry models did not quite go according to plan. Well done Year 8!
