Extra Curricular Talks and Assemblies

Two more fantastic guests to inspire the boys

Our High Performance Lunchtimes series has continued this term with two fantastic speakers already. On the first day back we welcomed Louis Rolfe who is a former Paralympic cyclist. We enjoyed hearing about how he has adapted to avoid his disability getting in the way of living a full life.

This week Johnny Grimond who is the grandfather of pupils John and Clem S came into school to talk about his life and career. Johnny joined The Economist in 1969 and stayed for over 40 years, writing mostly about foreign affairs. He was foreign editor from 1988 to 2002 and has travelled the world meeting lots of interesting people. He had some great advice for the boys including the importance of kindness and manners and we loved his advice of 'saying yes to opportunities' and having fun in life!

We have had great feedback from the boys and these lunchtime talks continue to draw a good audience.
