A Fairytale Mashup ends the term
As is tradition, we rounded off the term with a spectacular panto performance from the senior pupils. There was a large cast made up of pupils in Years 7 and 8 who had chosen to take part in the after-school activity. Mr Edwards and Mr Johnston shared the directing duties of this pantomime written by Mr Johnston, which featured a mashup of lots of popular fairytales including Jack and the Beanstalk, Goldilocks, Little Red Riding Hood and Snow White. A particular highlight was the retelling of Rapunzel where three staff members, Mr Goff, Mr Chaffey and Mr Albon, were called up on stage to audition for the starring role, with Mr Albon being voted the winner by the audience.
The cast did a spectacular job, with limited rehearsals and were confident, hilarious and thoroughly good value. Oh yes they most certainly were!
