Two nights of performances
This week we were treated to performances by musicians and actors at our annual Performing Arts Soiree. Pupils gave a sneak preview of the pieces they have been working on since the start of term and given the short time frame, produced some very impressive work. Nearly 80 children took to the stage, performing as soloists and also representing the Senior Choir, Pop Choir, String Ensemble and Percussion Ensemble. We also enjoyed some fantastic solo drama performances. Many of our young musicians were performing for the first time as part of the ensembles programme, and we were thrilled to see what these new groups have already achieved in the first weeks of the year. We're grateful to the visiting music teachers who have supported these ensembles and are looking forward to seeing them develop throughout the year. Well done to all involved!
