Another full and varied programme

The Spring Term Activities Programme is now in full flow and once again, it is lovely to see the breadth of activity and the enjoyment of the after-school programme, evident both in the Pre-Prep and the Prep School.

Last term we saw 24 Moulsford Award badges presented at the end of term assembly in the Prep School; 7 Bronze, including our first two Year 3 pupils of the school year, Daisy B and Leo M; 6 Silver badges, 3 Gold badges and 7 Platinum Awards, including a second Platinum badge for the impressive Hudson L. These awards are based on ratings given by teachers, coaches and activity takers, given for attitude, effort and progress. A big well done to all recipients and we look forward to seeing more badge winners at the end of the Spring Term.

Within the programme this term we have new activities including Jewellery Making, Beyblade Battles, and Creative Stories Club, as well as the return of popular classics such as Junior Engineers, Ceramics and Night Running. From the Climbing wall to the DT room, the Theatre to the Rowing shed, not only do we believe that there is something for everyone, but more than that, the children have so much opportunity to find what that something is. With the five established areas of the Moulsford Award: Health Living, Community & Service, Performance & Arts, Self-Development and Adventure & Challenge, we are firmly of the conviction that healthily pushing the children out of their comfort zones and encouraging them to try new and different things will help to build character and resilience, whilst also developing new passions.

At the heart of all that we do, with the Activities Programme and throughout the school, are our key values of Kindness, Courage and Curiosity. A fly on the wall of any Moulsford activities evening would see the values being lived out in spades. As ever, a big thank you to all of our staff for all that they do to make these exciting activities happen.
