Buddy Takes to the Sky
Buddy F in Year 6 started Flight School last term as part of our After-School Activities programme. Pupils undertaking Flight School learn about the principles of flight, meteorology and navigation during ground schooling, and then put their skills into practice on flight simulators to finish each session. There is then the option to take to the skies and on a stunning January day at Popham Airfield, Buddy experienced the thrill of flying for real. He loved every second of the flight, especially when he was given the chance to take the controls, practise making turns in the air and doing a flypast! It was an unforgettable experience and he can't wait to log more hours in the sky. Thanks to the team at British Young Pilots.
