A celebration to start the day

World Book Day began with a Whole School Assembly, which celebrated the boys’ literary successes. Mrs Squire gave out awards to the 17 boys who have become new Reading Millionaires and congratulated those who continue to read enthusiastically.  A Reading Star from every class was also awarded.

The prizes for the annual class poem competition were also awarded with the Leopards victorious for the Pre-Prep, 3C won for the Juniors and 8R won in the Senior category for their poem Ghost Train.

Assembly was also an opportunity for boys to see their Extreme Reading photos from the half term competition organised by Miss Severin. Congratulations to runners up Harvey C and Bertie W, both in Year 5 and overall winner Harry O from Year 6 reading and sand surfing.

It was a wonderfully uplifting way to start the day!
