Christmas Cracker

The Moulsford Christmas Fair returned with a bang this year - the first in-person fair since 2019! The Moulsford Community really pulled together to deliver such a special family event in the Moulsford calendar. Everyone involved showed such enthusiasm, patience and good humour and an enormous effort went into making it the most enjoyable festive day out.

The internal stalls (both MPA and House charities) were tremendously popular. We loved the interaction between those running the stalls and the children! Of particular note was the incredible banter at the Human Fruit Machine and the Beat the Snowman stalls! The Bottle Tombola and Sweet Tombola were mobbed by parents and children in equal measure!

A huge thank you to Julie and the Year 8 team who ran the Moles Cafe which provided impeccable service and a much-needed warm drink throughout.

And not forgetting, an appearance from the Big Man himself…at the magnificent Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe-inspired Santa’s grotto.

Abingdon School also had a Young Enterprise presence at the fair and have given very positive feedback on their successes.

The Junior and Senior Choirs provided a major sprinkling of festive spirit and brought an incredible atmosphere to the event.

We had some amazing and very popular external stallholders attend the event this year with a waiting list already building for next year. To quote one of the stallholders: ‘It’s my favourite fair of the year!’

The Raffle prizes were out of this world and a huge congratulations goes to the winners, but perhaps most importantly, thank you for all your very generous donations.

There are so many people; staff and families, to whom we would like to say a heartfelt "thank you" - the list of people involved is huge and there were a lot of moving parts but it all came together on the day. The most special part of the day was seeing all the smiles on everyone’s faces and that’s the gift that can’t be bought!

We sincerely wish you and your family a peaceful, Merry Christmas and a very happy 2023.

Festive wishes from all the Christmas Fair team, all the Elves involved and the MPA. Now we know how Santa feels on Boxing Day!
