Introducing the Schools Triathlon

We were delighted to welcome Gemma from Restless Development to Assembly on Thursday to talk to the pupils about the Schools Triathlon.
Moulsford has always shown huge support for this amazing event and we hope that will be the same again this year, especially having two venues to increase capacity. The event sees teams of four compete in a relay covering swimming, cycling and running with the whole team crossing the finish line together, to great applause!

Last year 146 Moulsford pupils took part in the Triathlon, raising £9,979 in total. Our top teams were Tri and Beat Us, The Runner Beanz and Team Crazy who raised over £2,000 between them!

Gemma explained that all of the money raised goes to Restless Development and Moulsford’s own school charity and how a little goes a long way.

  • £5 raised provides a solar-powered backpack for children in Sierra Leone to enable them to walk and work safely at night
  • £30 raised provides 15 children with a set of colourful exercise books
  • £60 raised plants 40 trees in a schoolyard
  • £1500 helps build a ramp for a wheelchair user to access the classroom

The triathlons take place at Bradfield on Sunday 18th May 2025 and The Oratory on 8th June 2025.
