Summer Concert 2022

A special night of entertainment

After several years of disruption, the Summer Concert returned to its riverside setting and was an enormous success. The concert wasn’t just an end of term celebration, it also marked Mr Bissell’s final performance after 23 years as Director of Music.

The beautiful surroundings of our school were enhanced by the wonderful playing and singing of nearly 200 of our most talented musicians and singers. The Music Department would like to thank all of the boys and staff involved, especially Mrs Lunnon who also compered the evening, Miss Gould, Mrs Clements and all of the visiting music teachers.

The Orchestra, Jazz Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble, String Ensemble, Senior Choir, Pop Choir and Junior Choir (consisting of the whole of Year 3 and 4) gave memorable performances, as did all of our talented soloists who enjoyed the enthusiastic response from the audience. Mr Bissell and the music staff also paid a musical tribute to Jude Watts, our violin and piano teacher who sadly passed away earlier in the year.

Everyone’s hard work and enthusiasm helped to make it a concert to remember.
