Raising money for Mary’s Meals

Moulsford’s Got Talent 2026 took place last Friday and yet again we were treated to an eclectic selection of acts performed by some very talented pupils from Years 5 to 8 who between them showed off their musical talents, comedy, magic and rap! We had a panel of judges featuring Director of Music Mrs Braden, Mr Skinner, former Moulsford teacher and keen dancer Mrs Lewis and Old Mole and one of the masterminds behind MGT, Joe Rhodes. The whole event was compered by Mr Goff. The whole event was raising money for our school charity Mary’s Meals and we were delighted to have a representative from the charity with us on the night.

We are very grateful to all of the finalists for their efforts in preparing their acts so well and giving us all a treat! The winners in each year group were as follows:

Year 5 –Bear M

Year 6 –Nat F and Hugh M

Year 7 – Joint winners - Hugo H & Benjy B and Oliver B

Year 8 – Joss B

Our overall winner this year was Bear M giving a performance Eminem would be proud of and being crowned our youngest ever winner!

This year we launched the Moulsford Art Attack and the top four entries were auctioned off on the night. Congratulations to William A in Year 3, Leo B in Year 4, Arthur A in Year 5 and Gabriel E in Year 7. Huge thanks to Jonty Hearnden for running our Art Attack Auction, he did a terrific job persuading the audience to part with their cash in support of Mary’s Meals.

Continuing his leadership of the staff dance troupe Monstrosity was Head of Science Mr English, who led from the front in a routine to the classic ‘Footloose’ in keeping with the cowboy theme for this year’s summer party. Once again it was fantastic to see the staff coming together and showing us their finest moves!

Thank you, as ever, to everyone, without whose support events like this simply wouldn’t happen. From pupils to staff and parents, both past and present, it really was a joint effort and another huge success.

See you all again next year!
