Year 8 Humanities Project

Academic Prep

Since the February half-term, Year 8 pupils have collaborated in mixed groups across all three forms during their humanities lessons to explore what life might look like in 2076. Working in teams, they produced both a presentation and a video addressing this futuristic theme. To cap off the project, the pupils also engaged in several lively debates centred on the core question of what our future holds.

The children learnt valuable lessons about working in groups which have included motivating others and having a clear plan about how the project is likely to move forward. At the end of the project, we recognised individuals who had gone above and beyond in terms of the work they completed and also the group who were consistently the best across all three parts of the project.

This was a really valuable project as it helped pupils consider the opportunities available in the future and also the skills involved in getting the best out of other people.
