Amazing set of results for the Senior Boys

Last month the boys in Years 7 and 8 took part in the Junior Maths Challenge. The Junior Mathematical Challenge is a 60-minute, multiple-choice Challenge. It encourages mathematical reasoning, precision of thought, and fluency in using basic mathematical techniques to solve interesting problems. The problems on the Junior Mathematical Challenge are designed to make students think.

In Assembly this week, Mr O’Reilly was delighted to hand out certificates to the boys. Well done to everyone who participated.

We had some really outstanding results with Gold certificates awarded to:

Year 7 – Luke D, Benji M-C, Gilby B, Theo H, Bruce M, George M, Rishi S

Year 8 – Freddie A, Patrick R, Henry B, Roche M, Elliot P, George JdB, Billy V, Arthur B, Zeb B

13 boys have also qualified for the next stage; The Junior Kangaroo. Luke D, who was top of the school for the second year running, has qualified for the Junior Maths Olympiad which is a HUGE achievement.

These events will take place in June.

Congratulations to all of the boys.
