What a week it’s been in Pre-Prep — full of sunshine, fresh air, and fabulous firsts!
Our youngest adventurers, the Bobcats, went on their very first trip to Ipsden Forest school site where they built dens and climbed on the spider web netting, and what a brilliant day it was! There was much excitement as they boarded the minibus, and their sense of wonder didn’t disappoint. From woodland wanders to playing hide and seek, the children were buzzing with stories by the time they returned. A big thank you to all the adults who made the morning run so smoothly — and to the Bobcats for their enthusiasm despite the warmth!
Meanwhile, over at the Prep, our Year 2 children took part in their first cricket match, and they absolutely rose to the occasion! There was excellent sportsmanship on show, some very promising bowling, and a few impressive boundaries hit to much applause. It's wonderful to see how much their confidence has grown — and even more wonderful to see how ready they are for the next stage of their journey at Moulsford.
In the classrooms, we’ve been squeezing in as much fun and learning as we can before the end of term — from mini beast hunts in the field to creating colourful story maps in English.
And of course, today's Prize Giving and Sports Day was a highlight — a double celebration and a chance for everyone to shine. Well done to all of the children and wishing everyone a restful weekend (with maybe a little sunshine on the side).
