Making a delicious pizza
Year 1 had a very exciting morning at Pizza Express in Wallingford, where they had the opportunity to make a delicious pizza. At the restaurant, they learnt how to knead and stretch their pizza dough, and to apply the tomato sauce and their chosen topping. In their Science lessons, they have been learning about a healthy balanced diet and how to group food into the different food groups. They used their knowledge of this whilst identifying the ingredients for their pizza. Then once they had returned to school, they were so excited to be able to enjoy eating their fabulous pizzas in the classroom for lunch!
