What wonderful weather we’ve had for Pre-Prep Prize Giving and two concurrent Sports Days. It began in the relative cool of the Pre-Prep hall, to celebrate the Pre-Prep children and all that they’ve achieved over the year. We were treated to some wonderful singing – well done to the parents for joining in – and it was so heartwarming to hear all the adjectives and accolades attributed to each child for their kindness, thoughtfulness, resilience, and curiosity, among many other positive awards.
The two Sports Days were a triumph of organisation, and huge thanks go to both Matt Mackinnon and Ollie Corbett for the smooth operations, and to parents for the wonderful support you gave today. Congratulations to the children for all the courage they showed in the heat, and judging by the smiles on faces, all the fun that was had – and not just when the ice cream van turned up!
This week, we welcomed five inspectors from the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) to the School. They were so impressed by the educational provision at Moulsford and loved meeting your children, who, as ever, rose to the occasion. Thank you to parents for all the support you have given the School during this inspection week in so many different ways, especially the extremely positive surveys which you completed. A delivery of homemade cookies to the office was particularly welcome – yum and thank you! Prior to the inspection call, this past week was already scheduled to be arguably the busiest of the school year, and a visit from ISI takes it to another level. An enormous thank you to our wonderful staff who have done a fantastic job this week. The inspectors now go through the lengthy process of drafting their report, and we expect that we will be able to send it to you towards the end of the summer.
With the weather set to hold, it will be ‘feeling Hot Hot Hot’ on Saturday evening at the Parents Association’s Summer ‘Lights, Camera…80s’on Summer Party. A very large thank you to the Party committee who have done an amazing job in organising what I know will be a fabulous evening.
