Harvest Celebrations

The highlight of this week was our Harvest Festival at the beautiful Moulsford Church on Thursday morning. Each year group shared artwork, songs, and poems, and we all enjoyed learning about the history of the church and why it remains such an important part of the local community. The children performed beautifully, and it was a lovely sight to see the colourful Harvest collection on display. We took time to give thanks once again for the fruits and vegetables we are fortunate to enjoy.  A big thank you to Reverend Rebecca Peters for hosting us—we hope to return closer to Christmas to enjoy the beautiful surroundings again and share more singing and creative work.

Year 2 had a wonderful trip to Wallingford Castle and the museum, where the guides shared fascinating information about what the castle once looked like. The children had the opportunity to ask lots of questions and learn about the local history. We’re so lucky to have such interesting artefacts and historic sites right on our doorstep!

As we get ready for STEAM Week next week, a huge thank you to all the children for their interesting and creative exhibits, which are now proudly on display in the Pre-Prep foyer.  Next week, we’re planning to visit the main Art Room to see even more of the exhibits created by Prep School pupils. We’ll also be launching our very own STEAM Week Challenge!

Our challenge? To guess how many conkers are in our now overflowing conker tray! How can we count them all carefully—and as a team?

Mrs Harris has created a special prediction box, and everyone is encouraged to take part by adding their best guess. Entries will be collected and counted on Friday, and there will be a prize awarded in assembly for the most accurate prediction. Good luck!

Very well done to Wilfred J for winning the Pride of Moulsford during Celebration assembly this morning. It's great to see the school values in action amongst our pupils and that kindness, courage and curiosity can be found in abundance in the Pre-Prep!
