What a week in the Pre-Prep! So much has been going on, with a visit to the farm to see lambs being born, an amazing class assembly, and World Book Day.
The children had the most incredible morning and afternoon at Sheencroft Farm, learning about how sheep are cared for, observing the pregnant ewes, and even watching a lamb being born, real Science and Topic learning in action! The children were fascinated by the new-born lambs and learned that it takes about ten minutes before they can stand, walk, and drink their mother’s milk. It was a magical experience for us all.
Thursday saw World Book Day get underway with a brilliant and entertaining assembly by the Pumas. It was particularly impressive to see how far they have come since Reception, both in terms of their confidence and their use of expression and natural enthusiasm. Even when the soundtrack to the song didn’t quite work, the children were unfazed and delivered a fantastic performance all about the pleasure of reading. Well done, Pumas!
