An end of term celebration for the Pre-Prep
The Pre-Prep Awards Ceremony took place ahead of Sports Day, with a hall packed full of very proud parents and grandparents. Prizes were given for a whole range of qualities, from teamwork, resilience, confidence, manners, sense of humour and courtesy through to the bookworms and fact finders. We also awarded prizes that focused on the school values of courage, kindness and curiosity.
Each class took to the stage to be presented with their certificates by Mr Beardmore-Gray and Mrs Gemmell and the children all looked very proud.
Year 2 opened proceedings with a poem entitled ‘Goodbye to Pre-Prep’ which certainly set the tone for an emotional morning! The audience was also treated to two songs with the children performing ‘These are the Days’ at the start and then encouraging their parents and teachers to join them in a rousing rendition of ‘One More Step Along the World I Go’.
Well done to all of the children on a fantastic year in Pre-Prep, and good luck for your transition to your new classes in September!
