The Day the Crayons Fought Back
The children in 3H performed a heartwarming and thought-provoking Assembly about the importance of community and unity. Based on the book ‘The Day the Crayons Quit’, which follows a boy named Duncan who discovers that his crayons have written him letters expressing their frustrations and grievances, Mrs Hamilton-Smith rewrote the words to create ‘The Day the Crayons Fought Back’.
With the children portraying different coloured crayons, alongside our artist and two sparkly narrators, the message of the Assembly was about everyone having their time to shine and celebrating each other’s strengths and differences. By embracing each other’s skills. we can create magic!
3H delivered a fantastic assembly full of humour, confidence and teamwork – well done!
