What a wonderful time we had at Moulsford on Thursday for our bonfire and fireworks night. A huge thank you to everyone who supported the event, and to the Parents Association who organised an amazing evening for us all. A special thank you to Emilia McDonald, who led a large PA team of helpers and ensured that we all had a fantastic experience. Such events are a wonderful example of the school and parents working very closely together.

Moulsford Sporting Lunch at the RAC – Auction

We are looking forward to hosting the Moulsford Sporting Lunch at the RAC on Friday 18th November for those that are able to attend.   Many parents will be familiar with this fundraising event which has been running for a number of years (except for the last two because of Covid). This year, in addition to the live auction which will take place during the event, there will also be a silent auction, raising funds for The Edward Bush Legacy Fund.  The Auction (both live and silent) is open to all members of the Moulsford community.

For those who are new to Moulsford, Edward (Ed), an Old Mole and former Head Boy, was tragically killed last year in an accident, at the age of 16.  He had experienced a wonderfully happy childhood, especially his six fulfilling years at Moulsford Prep School. His family have set up a fund in his name to find a way to support a long lasting legacy in his memory. All donations will be linked with a military need, be it rehabilitation, housing or supporting mental health.  Ed had been passionate about joining the army from his earliest years and all believe he would be delighted to know some good was achieved in this direction after his life was cut so brutally short.

The Bush’s friends and family have been incredibly generous in donating some absolutely fantastic auction lots to help raise money for Ed’s legacy fund. Many of the wonderful prizes have very strong personal connections with Edward. For example, Ed loved Devon & Cornwall, was passionate about country sports, enjoyed fine wines, developed a love of opera (initiated at Moulsford), and was very keen on both rugby and golf.

Please do click on the Auction Prospectus below for information on all the available lots which reflect so many of his interests. If you wish to bid, please click here for the google form bid sheet, where you can bid for as many lots as you like.  Auction bids via this Google form will close at 12 midday on Thursday 17th November to the wider community, and will then reactivate for guests in person at the event on Friday 18th November.

Please note that by entering a bid and if your entry is the winning bid, you will be committed to providing payment within 7 days of notification.  Winning bids of those not attending the event will be notified by email.

All members of the Moulsford community are encouraged to join in the Auction and help us raise as much money as possible to ensure Ed’s fund achieves a far reaching positive impact for military veterans and mental health.
