The Moulsford South Africa Cultural and Sporting tour landed at Heathrow last Friday and brought the sunshine home with them! What a joy these first few days back at school have been – in between the hard graft in the classroom, there have been opportunities for alfresco lunches, reading time in Bushy’s Wellbeing Garden, and lots of sport.
The SA Tour was a huge success, and the feedback from the staff and the many parents who followed the tour was that our sixty-nine tourists were exemplary ambassadors for Moulsford, taking full advantage of the numerous opportunities which came their way. Similarly, since their return from Cape Town, there have been so many messages from parents expressing heartfelt thanks for the experience their children have had. An enormous thank you to the ten Moulsford staff, led by Lee Chaffey, who worked incredibly hard over the ten day tour, providing the perfect environment for the boys to thrive in South Africa. Plans are already under way for the 2028 tour for our current Years 5 & 6 children, and of course the 2030 tour will be co-educational! How exciting! Over 2000 photos were taken on the tour which have been edited down for Flickr here and here. There was also a tour Instagram account which is now accessible to all here.
At the end of last term, I announced that Harry Hogg had been appointed Moulsford's Head of Boarding with effect from 1st September 2026. Harry has taught at Lambrook since 2017 where he has held a number of positions including Assistant Boarding Housemaster, Head of Geography, Assistant Head of Upper School, and Classroom Behaviour and Growth Mindset Lead. Harry is also fully involved in the sports programme at Lambrook with hockey being a particular strength. He also has a passion for water sports, in particular kayaking.
Harry is so looking forward to getting to know the Moulsford community and he will be visiting Moulsford to meet parents and will be staying on after this to spend an evening in the Moulsford boarding house.
