RAF Benson help us celebrate the Coronation

The children in Pre-Prep gathered in their playground on Wednesday to witness a fly past from a Puma helicopter from RAF Benson. The event was organised to mark the Coronation this weekend and caused great excitement for children and staff alike. The fly past travelled across the county and covered 6500 students from 34 different schools.

The aircraft performed a straight and level flypast of the school, down to about 250ft, before it climbed back up to get a better perspective for the onboard photographer to capture the moment. The photos taken from the helicopter are now being put into a book and sent to King Charles. We will share the images with you when we receive them.

Although the older boys in the Prep School were getting ready for their cricket matches, the Puma did manage a bonus flyover for them too!

It was fantastic to be involved in these celebrations and we think the children will treasure the memories made.
