Leaves, exploring and hot chocolate!
Our two Forest School sessions this week for the children in Bobcats and Reception featured some very special guests – their parents! The Wildcats and Tigers headed to the woods in Ipsden where their parents learnt the rules of the forest and the children went through their safety chat as usual. Each session the children have been learning about the parts of a tree and this week it was all about leaves. The children and parents picked their favourite leaves and made clay moulds before heading off to explore and play.
In the Bobcats session, the Pre-Schoolers were also learning about leaves but as well as clay moulds, they also made leaf puppets and enjoyed sticking leaves to create a picture of the Moulsford lion, with a very fine leafy mane! The children and parents ended their session by enjoying a hot chocolate and some sweet treats.
Thank you to Mrs Bishop for arranging these sessions and a huge thank you to the parents who were able to join us.
