Global Studies brought to life
The Reception classes went on a trip to the Living Rainforest as part as our Global Studies topic - Brazil. They saw lots of tropical plants like the cocoa plant and vanilla pods. They saw many animals, including Cinnamon the sloth, an armadillo, a tortoise, a lizard, a caiman, some turtles, some snakes, a tarantula, some birds, some poison dart frogs, some giant stick insects, lots of fish, some stingrays and some monkeys. They also saw a toucan with a very long beak from the rainforest in Brazil. The children learned about their habitats and what they eat. It was fun and exciting and the Reception children had a wonderful time.
