Last minute goal scored by Mr Martin

The annual Year 8 Leavers vs Staff football match took place in front of a lively crowd with the sun shining brightly. After years of staff victories the Year 8s were hoping that this was the year to rewrite the history books. However, the staff had other ideas!

The match was played over four competitive but good-spirited quarters, allowing for maximum participation and ensuring that every player had a chance to make their mark.

Despite some competitive play, the Year 8s found themselves 3-0 down but they kept their heads up and managed to bring themselves level at 3-3. The game remained tight with end-to-end action and chances for both sides but it was Mr Martin who scored the injury time winner, in his final ever game after 16 years with the school!

Miss Sowray made an impressive debut and it was good to see Old Mole Jacob A playing for the staff as he completed a few days’ work experience back at Moulsford! Our thoughts go out to Mr Johnston who sadly spent the night in A&E afterwards and is now nursing a broken wrist.

A big thank you goes out to all the staff and pupils who took part and made the afternoon such a memorable one.
