Skiing in Prato Nevoso

After a false start with a cancelled flight, 64 boys and 8 staff departed for Prato Nevoso in the Easter holidays. We were greeted with blue skies and sunshine and some warm temperatures, which was unexpected. Thankfully the snow held out for our entire trip. The boys experienced Night Skiing under the floodlights, which was a first for even our most experienced and confident skiers. Our beginners started on the nursery slopes and finished day 4 by skiing a black run, which was a fantastic achievement. The boys were a credit to themselves and the school throughout the week, both on and off the slopes. A huge thank you to the staff who accompanied the trip and supported the boys in every way needed. Ciao!

Here’s what some of the boys had to say:

First of all the skiing trip was a massive success overall. With some falls here and there I found it very fun. As it was my first time skiing, my instructor Fabio helped all of my group loads, and we ended up doing a black run by the end of the week, which was a massive surprise, seeing that most of our group had never skied before. The people at the hotel were very welcoming and our tour guide Katie was extra helpful. Overall I think all the teachers and the children that went had loads of fun and enjoyed skiing on the slopes. Lewis R Year 8

On the ski trip I had so much fun! The pasta there was really nice and the ski instructors amazing! I had so much fun playing with my friends in my dorm. Also the teachers made the travelling very easy, which was nice. Overall I had a lot of fun and loved it. Charlie N Year7
