What a busy week!
The Summer term is now well underway and what better way to start the week than wake everyone up with a hands-on drumming workshop, where all of the children enjoyed learning about different musical styles and cultural traditions! We also enjoyed our third visit from Cholsey church and the wonderful team of actors and actresses who helped us to bring the story of The Good Samaritan to life.
The hot weather has allowed us to spend even more time outside and really make use of the wonderful surroundings here at Moulsford. Year 1 have been learning about how to look after the human body, so it has been a useful time to highlight the importance of drinking water and wearing a hat to protect our skin from the sun.
On Thursday, the Wildcats enjoyed a trip out to Bucklebury Farm where they were able to meet a baby goat and a chicken called Chimney! A personal highlight for me this week has been the introduction of our very own Pre-Prep eco club where a group of Year 1 and 2 children are working to initiate ideas around how to care for the school and play areas. We have talked about food waste, litter and how we can educate the teachers and pupils to turn off their computers at the end of the day. Every action, no matter how big or small really counts! Posters have been made which we have shared in assembly this morning, and we have lots more exciting plans afoot! Wishing you all a wonderful bank holiday weekend.
