A short but busy week
Having enjoyed the Bank Holiday weekend, and an extra day in 'holiday mode', we have spent the week wondering what day it is and working hard to click back into our usual routine! As ever, the children in Pre-Prep continue to exemplify the core school values, trying their best and enjoying every minute of the school day.
On Tuesday, we welcomed Nursery Heads to our annual conference hosted by Moulsford Early Years staff, and introduced the brilliant Ben Kingston-Hughes from 'Inspired Children' to talk to us about the power of play and benefits of practical Maths. Staff had the pleasure of climbing in and out of cardboard boxes and making dens, all of which we are now keen to take back into our own classrooms to further inspire Moulsford pupils.
VE Day was celebrated with gusto and plenty of flag waving, to include a special assembly where I was thrilled to hear the children speaking so proudly about their relatives and listening with interest as we said thank you to all those who worked so hard to help look after our country many years ago. Every opportunity we can find to give the children a chance to talk about their family and shared experiences is a valuable part of our time together as a community. This leads nicely into Celebration assembly where we gathered together this morning to acknowledge the excellent work taking place in our Pre-Prep every day.
