Immersive experiences and chilly photos
What a week in Pre-Prep! You might have been forgiven for thinking the Year 2's had forgotten about school uniform on Wednesday as they arrived in costume and good spirits ready for a day of immersive learning based on the Great Fire of London. We gathered in the theatre to explore what it was like for the people of London living during 1666 and gasped in horror as we learnt about the medical techniques and use of herbal medicine, whilst surrounded in rats and dirty water. What better way to bring our learning to life and jump into exploring history, than with a mixture of candle making, bread making, weaving and apothecary!
After what was a lovely warm start to the week, we looked forward to the whole school photograph and joining together with the Prep to have our photograph taken. After what was a rather chilly hour or so, we managed a good windswept smile and a quick run around and much anticipated snack! It was lovely to gather together as a whole school and one of the few occasions our youngest get to mingle with the oldest pupils at Moulsford. I am not sure if our Year 8's had anticipated quite how confident and independent our youngest pupils really are! I certainly felt very proud of the Pre-Prep troops.
