A spooky end to the half term

As we reach the end of the first half term, after an exciting Halloween celebration today, it’s time for a well-deserved break. This half term has been filled with a variety of interesting trips and activities, with barely a week passing without a year group heading out or exploring the beautiful school grounds.

The focus has been on settling in and establishing new routines, along with all the key elements that support the children's learning. Listening to one another, sharing, taking turns and expressing how we feel are such important fountains to build upon during the start of any academic year.

On a personal note, I’ve been deeply heartened (and often amused!) by the stories and daily interactions we share with the children—from new haircuts and missing teeth to singing favourite songs. These moments are a wonderful reminder that school is about so much more than just reading, writing, and counting. The children bring a daily dose of joy and magic that will undoubtedly continue as we approach the festive season!

In the meantime, we wish you all a very happy half term break and I look forward to another fun, busy, (and festive) half term ahead!
