Fire engines, fireworks and fun

Welcome back! It has been delightful to hear about all the exciting half-term trips and adventures that took place and I hope you all had a restful break.
Our first day back began with a visit from the Fire Brigade, where the children in Bobcats and Reception enjoyed meeting the Goring Fire Crew. The children loved hearing the siren, trying on the uniform, and asking the crew some really interesting questions!

The Year 2 children had a very royal start to the half term, receiving a special letter from King Charles in response to their thank-you letter following their visit to Windsor Castle before half term. Well done Year 2!

We have enjoyed a full week of Firework and Bonfire Night fun, starting with Monday’s assembly where we talked about the excitement and history of Bonfire Night, as well as the importance of staying safe.

On Friday morning, Years 1 and 2 visited the Prep Site to join the whole school for a very moving Remembrance Service, which provided a wonderful introduction to the importance of Remembrance Day. The children’s behaviour was exceptional and all of the teachers were very proud of them.

As we move further into the half term, excitement is building as we begin our Christmas Nativity practices! The children are already enjoying learning their songs and lines, and we can’t wait to share their hard work and festive cheer with you all in the coming weeks.

Very well done to Aria P of the Pumas who has won the Pride of Moulsford Award in the Pre-Prep this week.
